NARUTO CARD GAME reveals the artwork of its first cards
Bandai has revealed new images of the cards that will be featured in NARUTO CARD GAME, the upcoming trading card game scheduled for a worldwide release in summer 2027.
The preview confirms that the artwork will be one of the game’s main attractions. The cards will combine original illustrations, scenes from the anime and compositions based on Masashi Kishimoto’s manga, offering a wide variety of styles within the same collection.
The revealed cards feature characters such as Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Itachi, Jiraiya, Tsunade, Orochimaru and Boruto. Some recreate well-known moments from the anime, including Naruto using the Rasengan and Sasuke performing the Chidori. Others feature artwork created specifically for the game, with styles inspired by watercolor, digital painting and experimental art.
One of the most striking examples is the Sasuke Uchiha card, which combines the character with several black-and-white manga panels and traditional Japanese decorative elements. The Orochimaru and Tsunade cards also stand out for their painterly appearance, while the Itachi, Jiraiya, Naruto and Boruto versions use intense colors, energy effects and more dynamic compositions.
The card design gives maximum prominence to the artwork. The statistics are positioned in the upper corners, while the character’s name, card type and attributes appear in a lower banner. The turquoise and magenta colors may be connected to the deck-building system and the color of the chosen Leader.
For now, all the cards are marked “SAMPLE”, meaning that changes may still be made before release. Bandai has also not yet revealed the rarities, holographic finishes, pull rates or the full contents of the first set.
This first preview makes Bandai’s intentions clear: to turn NARUTO CARD GAME into an appealing collection for both players and collectors, using more than twenty years of Naruto history through cards that combine nostalgia, original artwork and recognizable scenes from the franchise.
