Bandai, Naruto Mythos and Kayou: three Naruto card products you should not confuse

The characters may match, but the games and collections do not. Mythos already has products and organized play, Kayou offers collectible series, and Bandai is preparing NARUTO CARD GAME for June 2027. Here is how to identify each one and assess what comes next.

In this article

A Naruto box can look like an obvious starting point until another listing shows different logos, statistics and release dates. Several card lines use the same characters, making a generic “Naruto cards” search surprisingly confusing.

The distinction matters: Mythos cards and Kayou collectibles are not cards for Bandai’s new game. A different manufacturer does not make an item counterfeit; the task is to identify the actual product. Information checked October 20, 2026.

The comparison at a glance

Bandai’s NARUTO CARD GAME is a new TCG with a June 2027 retail launch and existing promotional activity. Naruto Mythos is a separate playable TCG with its own rules and products. Kayou presents Naruto collectible series with their own card lists and rarities.

These are not three regional editions of one game. Card numbers, prices and rarity terms cannot be transferred between them. Identify collection, variant, language and condition before comparing copies.

Bandai: the new game we follow

Bandai’s presentation describes Leaders, Characters, EX Characters, Chakra and Summon cards, with face-down support and Ninjutsu adding tactical choices. The announced objective is to reduce the opposing Leader’s Life to zero. It is not an expansion of Mythos rules.

Its visual identity combines original illustrations with anime and manga artwork. A familiar Naruto image on another manufacturer’s card does not make it the same edition or product.

June 2027: three starters and Booster Pack 01

Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Gaara lead the three announced preconstructed decks. Booster Pack 01, Enter: NARUTO UZUMAKI!, is scheduled alongside them for June 2027. Starters offer a ready-made entry; boosters expand collecting and deck options.

The exact launch day, full retail lists and recommended prices remain unconfirmed in the reviewed sources. Do not infer Bandai pack quantities from Mythos boxes or treat temporary packaging images as final specifications.

Why Bandai cards are already being sold

The retail game is not out, but physical CP-001 promotional cards have been distributed at events. Promos, demonstration decks and retail products are separate categories. A promo listing does not mean the first booster set has launched.

NarutoMarket distinguishes Gen Con, Yankees and unstamped event variants. Compare the same edition. A single CP-001 is not a full deck, and demonstration decks must not be assumed to be participant giveaways.

Mythos: another game and community

Naruto Mythos TCG is an independent game associated with Cicaboom, with products available in 2026, published rules and organized events. Its presentation focuses on ninja deployment, missions, Chakra and victory points.

Konoha Shidō and Shinobi Shiren belong to Mythos. Availability varies by territory and product: the Shinobi Shiren page lists Gaara vs Rock Lee for October 23 and other items for November 13, 2026. These are not one simultaneous worldwide set-release date.

Kayou: choose a specific collectible series

Kayou’s Naruto catalog includes Ninja Age, Earth Scroll, Chapter Jin and Heaven Scroll. These collectible lines emphasize artwork, variants and finishes. They are not cards for Bandai’s new rules system.

Ninja Age Premium Collector Box, for example, lists 106 card types and ten rarity tiers. Those specifications apply to that product, not all Kayou boxes. Check series, region, language and edition.

How to identify a listing

Look for the full collection name and manufacturer mark: BANDAI CARD GAMES and NARUTO CARD GAME, NARUTO Mythos TCG, or KAYOU and its particular series. Match the number to the correct catalog and inspect front, back and packaging photographs.

A copyright year may refer to the original work rather than the card’s release. “Official”, “TCG Naruto” or “first edition” in a listing title is not enough to identify a product.

What coexistence could mean

These lines can appeal to different interests while sharing fans. Someone can collect Kayou and try Bandai, but their existing cards do not become playable in the new game.

Bandai has announced store Premier Demo Events, a planned million-demo-deck global campaign in spring 2027 and a major reveal at Jump Festa in December 2026. These are concrete plans, not guarantees of supply, player numbers or lasting success.

What Bandai still needs to demonstrate

Naruto’s popularity can attract attention; clear rules, enjoyable play, distribution and local communities will matter for retention. Future reveals should clarify what each starter and set actually offers.

Early promos may appeal as records of the beginning. Age, PSA 10 and recognizable characters do not guarantee rising prices. Mythos, Kayou and Bandai are distinct collecting markets, not a single Naruto price index.

Where to begin

For Bandai, follow verified reveals and distinguish demo lists from retail products. For Mythos, read its rules and check nearby play opportunities. For Kayou, choose an identified series and work from its official checklist.

Choose the experience you want rather than any box featuring Naruto. NarutoMarket focuses on Bandai’s new game, linking its revealed cards, product timeline, news and demonstrations as the project develops.
