NARUTO CARD GAME in Japan: early games, CP-001 and products before release
Japan’s January–March 2027 demonstrations bring Naruto and Sasuke demo decks, a CP-001 participation card and announced products into local stores.
In this article
Japan’s NARUTO CARD GAME demonstrations offer an opportunity to move from watching reveals to learning at a table. This article examines the official announcement dated October 13, 2026, rather than presenting it as a new announcement today.

From Tokyo to Sapporo
The listed dates run from January 16 to March 21, 2027.

The heading says ten stores, but the list contains eleven venues or dates. We retain the individual entries without claiming that Bandai has officially expanded the programme. Check the specific BANDAI TCG+ session before planning a visit.
Learning with Naruto and Sasuke
Naruto and Sasuke demo decks are used for play and cannot be taken home. CP-001 is listed as a participation memento. The image below is Bandai’s Japanese sample, not a photograph of an already distributed copy or evidence of its print run.

For collectors, borrowing a deck, receiving a card and purchasing a product are different activities. Keeping them distinct helps document the game’s beginnings without inventing a distribution plan.
The announced products
Japan’s page gives tax-inclusive prices of ¥1,650 for Premium Card Collection vol.00 —CHAKRA set— and ¥3,850 for the NARUTO vs. SASUKE playmat. Each is limited to one per person, with participants receiving purchase priority and quantities limited.

These are official development images. SAMPLE markings remain intact and final products may differ. Japanese prices are not confirmed European retail prices or secondary-market values.
Applications in three groups
- January sessions: apply December 1–20, 2026; results December 25.
- February sessions: apply December 25, 2026–January 11, 2027; results January 15.
- March sessions: apply February 1–14, 2027; results February 19.
Advance applications use BANDAI TCG+. The app supports event searches and participation management. An application is not a confirmed place; review the store’s listing and your result before travel. We do not invent starting times, capacity or language requirements.
A different calendar from the international programme
The English programme lists waves on February 5–19 and February 19–March 5, 2027. Japan’s January dates do not automatically apply elsewhere. Bandai’s October 22 correction also still excludes CHAKRA set sales at London and Orlando, while the playmat remains announced there.
Why local stores matter
Our editorial view is that stores can turn visibility into regular participation. A convention introduces a title; a local table gives people somewhere to learn, ask questions and meet opponents again. Whether these first sessions develop into lasting communities matters more than speculation about future prices.
For newcomers, the programme is worth following for what it can reveal about the playing experience and community response. Its long-term significance will depend on how the game develops beyond these first sessions.
